Health and Safety Warning

At VB Distribution, we are committed to providing our customers with clear and accurate information about the products we sell. In accordance with UK law and the Tobacco Products Directive (TPD), we are required to inform customers about the health risks associated with nicotine use and to ensure full transparency. Please read the following health and safety guidance carefully.

Health Warning

Nicotine is a highly addictive substance. When using nicotine products, including e-liquids, vape pens, and heated tobacco products, please be aware that nicotine can cause addiction, and prolonged exposure may have various health implications. Nicotine is known to affect the cardiovascular system and may lead to an increased heart rate and higher blood pressure.

Age Restrictions: Nicotine-containing products are intended for use by adults aged 18 and over. By purchasing these products, you confirm that you meet the legal age requirements in your region.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Nicotine use during pregnancy may harm the foetus and may contribute to premature birth, low birth weight, or developmental issues. The use of nicotine products during pregnancy or while breastfeeding is strongly discouraged.

Health Conditions: Individuals with heart conditions, respiratory problems, or high blood pressure should consult a healthcare professional before using nicotine products. Nicotine may increase the risk of certain health complications.

Children and Pets: Nicotine-containing products must be kept out of the reach of children and pets. Accidental ingestion or exposure can be harmful or fatal, even in small quantities. Ensure that e-liquids are stored securely and safely at all times.

Handling and Storage: Vape products and e-liquids should be handled with care. Always store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and open flames. Ensure that the product cap is securely fastened after use to prevent leakage or accidental exposure.

Product Labelling: All products sold by VB Distribution include the required nicotine warnings where applicable. Please check the packaging for specific health warnings, including details on nicotine content and associated health risks.

Hazardous Ingredients: We aim to ensure that none of the products we sell contain banned or restricted ingredients. For example, our e-liquids are diacetyl-free and do not contain harmful additives such as caffeine or taurine, where prohibited.

Accidental Exposure: Nicotine can be toxic if ingested in large quantities. If a nicotine-containing product is accidentally ingested, particularly by a child or pet, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of nicotine poisoning may include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and, in severe cases, seizures.

VB Distribution complies with the requirements of the Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) and other relevant legislation in the UK. This includes ensuring that all products sold meet the applicable safety, packaging, and labelling standards.

Nicotine Strength: All e-liquids sold by VB Distribution comply with the TPD nicotine strength limit of 20 mg/ml.

Tank Size: E-cigarette tanks, including pod systems and disposable vape devices, comply with the 2 ml maximum capacity limit, where applicable.

Product Notification: All nicotine-containing products, including e-liquids and vaping devices, are notified to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) before being made available for sale in the UK, where required.

Battery Safety: At VB Distribution, we prioritise the safety of our customers. When handling products containing batteries, such as e-cigarettes and other vaping devices, it is essential to follow safe usage guidelines. Improper handling or charging of lithium-ion batteries, including 18650 batteries, may result in serious risks, including fire, explosion, or damage to the device.

Use the Correct Charger: Only use the charging cable and adapter specifically designed for your device. Do not use third-party chargers unless confirmed to be compatible, as they may create safety risks.

Do Not Overcharge: Avoid charging your device for extended periods. Once fully charged, unplug the device to prevent overcharging, which may reduce battery life and create potential safety issues.

Battery Storage: Store spare batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Never store loose batteries in pockets or bags where they may come into contact with metal objects such as coins or keys.

Transporting Batteries: If you are travelling with spare batteries, such as 18650 batteries, always store them in a protective battery case. Never carry loose batteries in pockets or unprotected bags, as this may cause accidental short-circuiting.

Inspect Batteries Regularly: Always inspect batteries for signs of damage, including dents, scratches, leaks, or bulging. If you notice any damage, discontinue use immediately and replace the battery.

Proper Disposal: Never dispose of batteries in general waste. Used or damaged batteries should be disposed of responsibly at a suitable recycling centre or in accordance with local disposal regulations.

Safety Warnings for Internal Batteries

Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Do not expose your device to excessive heat or extreme cold. For example, do not leave it inside a car on a hot day or in freezing conditions. Extreme temperatures may affect battery performance and safety.

Avoid Dropping or Damaging the Device: If your device or battery is dropped or damaged, inspect it carefully for signs of leakage, swelling, or bulging. If any of these signs are present, do not continue to use the device.

Ensure Proper Ventilation During Charging: When charging your device, place it in a well-ventilated area to prevent heat build-up.

By following these safety guidelines, you can help ensure the longevity of your device and battery while reducing the risks associated with lithium-ion batteries.
